From Dongara we drive along the coast southwards until Yanchep.
Here at the Turquoise Coast between Geraldton and Perth small National Parks and Nature Reserves line up like pearls on a string.
Probably the costal area is just not that suitable for agriculture.
Anyway we are driving again through the bush.

Petra learned at the visitor center that Mullewa, which is located 100 km east of Geraldton, is a worthwhile destination for wildflower enthusiasts.
OK, we go there. The landscape gets wider, the fields bigger and all in all it looses charm. It is not completely flat, it still has some structure and a railway track is acompanying us. Judging from the bulk waggons it is probably again a mine railway.

A bit more away from the coast we get again into the realm of the everlastings. The landscape is hilly and the land is cultivated. Finally it remembers to a middle European culture landscape, which is also charming.

On Monday again a drive of something over 300 km is ahead of us as we want to get to Kalbarri.
The bush is getting taller and taller, now there are even real trees.
And then we reach something bizarre: a field.
